The phone only counts flights climbed, never descended, so the profile does the rest: each hour's distance moves you along the real trail (Katahdin to Springer), and the trail's elevation at that point gives the climb and descent. Positions are approximate where the phone was off. Capture compares what the phone recorded against official totals; town walking adds some distance back, so distance capture is an upper bound. Profile data: every-mile.
